Debi Anderson of Barking Dog Studio

Debi, you’re a wonderful artist and worthy owner. The Barking Dog Studio is here in the town of Sooke, where Debi is happy to show you how you can turn a piece of furniture you thought of throwing out to making it into a piece you will want to keep forever. If your interested in learning how, she offers a class on Tuesdays 6-9pm on how to do it. You can bring her any one of your old pieces also. She has even proven that she is worthy of a prestigious award for “Retailer of the Year 2014” by the town’s committee, and this only after a year and a half in business! The store she lords over consists of 60 different artists and herself in charge of the restoration side and classes as well as business. Randy, her trusty partner, helps her out with the custom woodworking. It’s nice to have someone you can count on to work together on projects with.

A story she shared: Debi really has a passion for restoration and remembers herself rummaging in old dumps with her dad for special pieces of furniture. Some may have considered them trash, she considers them treasure. This was her start. We want Debi to continue her passion of restoration and creativity, so I encourage you to take one of her classes on Tuesdays and pick up a piece from her artists collection of useful household craft items. Thanks for sharing and leading this area of business Debi. You’re a GEM!
